About this item

  • 【Outstanding industrial design】CNC machined aluminum extrusion and semi-assembled parts for reliable build quality and easy setup. V-guide roller made of Germany POM material with ultra-silence, accurate motion, and excellent wear resistance during long term printing. 220X220X250mm printing size at ±0.1mm high precision. Supports multi-function extensions as well.
  • 【Smarter 3D printing】Once a print is complete and the nozzle temperature drops below 50° Celsius, the cooling fans of the nozzle and the motherboard will automatically stop working, saving power and extending their lifespan. Resume printing from where it left after an unexpected power outage or faulty operations. MK8 extruder has wide material compatibility and equipped filament detection sensor will pause printing when filament runs out.
  • 【Safe and stable power supply】400Watt switched-mode power supply can better protect your printing from short circuit, overload voltage, or under-voltage situations. The 250Watt hotbed can be heated to 100° Celsius within 3 minutes under an average indoor temperature and keeps it stable to meet different filament materials' working requirements.
  • 【Intuitive and user-friendly experience】Multi-language user interface shows the model preview and real-time printing progress. Large rotary nuts make leveling easier. The hotbed holds a replaceable fiberglass sheet with a matte Polycarbonate surface, which has a stronger adhesion and allows you to remove models without any hassle. 32bit motherboard with TMC2225 silent driver provides a quieter printing at 50db noise level and ensures consistent printing for 200 hours without any issues.
  • 【Warranty and Service】We provide a 1-year warranty on the printer (nozzle and build plate sheet excluded) and lifetime technical support with fast response in customer service. If you need a replacement part, we will deliver it to you from the local warehouses giving you a better after-sales experience.

Mine does not work out of the box, UPDATE
*Update*So late update, but Elegoo sent me another printer since the previous one was just a lemon. They were actually very helpful and the customer support is really good. Since dialing it in, I've had nothing but successes. This little unit has been fantastic and I haven't had too many issues that weren't easily dealt with. I did upgrade the springs/leveling knobs but that's pretty much it and I've gotten some amazing prints including a giant Warhammer I printed and plan to do up nice.**Update as of 4/14/21**I've been emailing Elegoo back and forth for about two weeks now. They think they figured out my hot bed sensor is bust, but I don't think it is due to the Extruder not heating up. They've sent out a replacement part which they said will take 10-20 days to arrive to me. So more waiting for me, I will say the Elegoo costumer support is really good. They've emailed me every day despite the time difference to try and workout my problem.**Orginal review 4/1/21**So my review for the Neptune 2...First off all I'm pretty tech savy, and this is my third 3D printer. I kinda have an idea at this point how they operate. So I'm not a total noob, but still working stuff out.I've had this item on my wishlist for almost two months and checked way to often to see if it was in stock. When I randomly checked one evening last week it was in stock! I ordered it along with some PLA and just waited.Fast forward to today I decided to assemble it. It was packaged pretty well, a box within an Amazon box. The Elegoo box itself was a little bit damaged but nothing too concerning. Assembly wasn't too bad took me probably less than an hour. Instructions are somewhat clear, although not everything is noted in there. I'd look up other build videos before you do your first print to see if you missed anything. Everything was tightened and leveling was a breeze. Now the one star part. When I go to preheat the nozzle (I was aiming for 215° for my PLA) it starts warming up it gets to 22°-26°, and then it stops and sets the targeted temp to 0°, and I get an "Err1" message in the top right corner of the screen. Weird. So I start digging. In the manual it has no references to any error messages, once again that's weird. So I go to the Elegoo website type in Neptune 2 and you get a big ole "0 results found". Why is there not a product page on their website for this printer? There is nothing under the support tab for this printer on their website. The only mention of this printer on the website is under "downloads" which links you to the open source code for this printer as well as an Cura.I go to the usual discords, facebook groups, and subreddits for 3D printing. At this point I check the connections on the hotend as well as the board. Made sure everything was reasonably tight. At this point I know its a temperature/temp regulator problem, I gently removed the thermistor out of its little hole and saw the bulb was not broken although it was covered in some grey powder, possibly a dried out glue but otherwise it should be functioning. I put it back and put the retention screw back in and same error.Out of the box for me this printer does not work. Maybe I got a dud, maybe that gold QC sticker shouldn't of been put on the printer. I emailed Elegoo with my issue and will update if it gets resolved.
