About this item
- 【Outstanding industrial design】CNC machined aluminum extrusion and semi-assembled parts for reliable build quality and easy setup. V-guide roller made of Germany POM material with ultra-silence, accurate motion, and excellent wear resistance during long term printing. 220X220X250mm printing size at ±0.1mm high precision. Supports multi-function extensions as well.
- 【Smarter 3D printing】Once a print is complete and the nozzle temperature drops below 50° Celsius, the cooling fans of the nozzle and the motherboard will automatically stop working, saving power and extending their lifespan. Resume printing from where it left after an unexpected power outage or faulty operations. MK8 extruder has wide material compatibility and equipped filament detection sensor will pause printing when filament runs out.
- 【Safe and stable power supply】400Watt switched-mode power supply can better protect your printing from short circuit, overload voltage, or under-voltage situations. The 250Watt hotbed can be heated to 100° Celsius within 3 minutes under an average indoor temperature and keeps it stable to meet different filament materials' working requirements.
- 【Intuitive and user-friendly experience】Multi-language user interface shows the model preview and real-time printing progress. Large rotary nuts make leveling easier. The hotbed holds a replaceable fiberglass sheet with a matte Polycarbonate surface, which has a stronger adhesion and allows you to remove models without any hassle. 32bit motherboard with TMC2225 silent driver provides a quieter printing at 50db noise level and ensures consistent printing for 200 hours without any issues.
- 【Warranty and Service】We provide a 1-year warranty on the printer (nozzle and build plate sheet excluded) and lifetime technical support with fast response in customer service. If you need a replacement part, we will deliver it to you from the local warehouses giving you a better after-sales experience.

So I printed a mounting bracket and installed my BL-Touch type probe. Went ahead and flashed the modified firmware, to enable BL-Touch functionality. There is a text file, similar to a configuration file in Marlin. Actually, I believe that the machine uses a seriously stripped down version of in-house modified Marlin. This modification is not really ripe for the public. There is one thing that caught my attention. In fact, it does a 16 point probing prior to printing and at the end prompts to set the Z offset. Beware, after printing started do NOT move away from the Z offset screen. In my case, it stopped immediately the printing. If this is intended to be that way, at least the screen should be locked.
Furthermore, I had to adjust the level wheels during printing. It didn't appear that the previously measured auto level points had any affect. One side too close and the other side too high. Seemed to take only more time to get started, oh well. I have to research a little more, to get this straight in my head.
Original review ********************************************************************************* below.
Although, it arrived a few days later than expected, it still impresses the heck out of me.
Assembly is easy, the manual tells exactly what to use where, so it went together quickly.
There is however some setbacks, it does not point to areas where is may cause some issues.
The base is simple, just pay attention to the two vertical extrusion's and their placement.
When it comes to the gantry assembly, it may get a little tricky. Due to the needed oversized holes that hold the extruder, Stepper and roller in place, it might get together a little crooked. The far right might either point up or point down. One can easily fix this with a 90 degree framing square. It is a little cumbersome when aligning the gantry alone. More hands are helpful.
If one doesn't pay attention to the gantry alignment, you may not be able to level your bed properly. Worse, you'll never get anything to stick to the bed. I have a feeling that this is what many complain about. Make sure the rollers are adjusted correctly.
Also, I read a number of users, complain about the base frame not level. This can also be easily fixed by loosening the mounts and align the extrusion in question.
Overall, I printed a few object and am very impressed with the print quality.
The cons, in my opinion are, the control panel gets completely covered up when doing the 5 point bed level. It is hard to reach the button areas, parallax is kicking in, at least in my case.
I replaced the bowden tube with a Capricorn. Not that the shipped tube wouldn't work, Capricorn is just better quality.
I have a BL Touch type lying around, didn't get to try it yet, but I believe it would be as simple as designing and printing a mount, connect and it should work as there is a BL touch connector on the board.
Ohh, yes! there is also a additional socket on the controller for a second extruder. It requires to purchase a TMC 2208 or similar.
Pros:
Cheap
Easy to use
Great Prints
Touch Screen
Cons:
Instructions
Filament lineup
Bed Leveling Springs
No Auto Bed Leveling

Giving it a 3 star review as i'm not even through my first spool of PLA in the first week of operation and the cooling fan on the PC board is already making a horrible noise at startup for the first 2 minutes. Would love if Elegoo ship a replacement fan. I would give this product a higher rating and this is the only con so far.
Pros:
Being a newbie to 3D printers this is a great little machine. Simple to operate and pull STL files that slice well in the Cura/Elegoo software it came with and almost ready to go right out of the box.
Packaging was great with two lawyers of foam and all items in their place on arrival.
Prints have all been successful right out of the box with minimal tweaking to the programs in the slicing software.
Machine is super quite other than the issue with the PC fan at startup you wouldn't know it was in the room.
Removeable print plate is nice and flat along with the print bed.
Cons:
The instructions for assembly could be better, but there are plenty of videos on youtube if you get lost.
The print plate has excessive wobble direct from the factory and the adjustment screws will need to be tightened to firm up the place. They are easy to access and I'll give Elegoo that on the whole machine when it comes to the hardware.
Bed leveling could be easier. I own my own set of feeler gauges, but how hard would it be to add a few between .06 to .2mm?
Print tip does leak when moving between prints causing stringing, but if you set to retract between moves stringing is eliminated.
Base is not level from factory and you will have to loosen the four machine screws on each side to level the base.
Longevity of the printer is in question based on the first week due to the fan issue. I'll see if Elego responds, but if not I'll be replacing the PC fan to protect the unit. I don't see the need to return the unit over a 20 dollar part, but how annoying to have to replace something on a brand new unit.
